Currently the Oregon legislature is proposing a 7.8 Billion dollar state school fund for the next biennium.
A Special thank you to our PTC Volunteers and Nicki Ruiz for a successful Cinnamon Roll fundraiser for the Elementary School. Their hard work and dedication is very much appreciated and the cinnamon rolls were very tasty.

The month of February is fast drawing to a close and we are looking forward to the spring weather arriving in the weeks ahead.
The first month of 2017 has already passed by and our students and teachers are working hard to prepare for the upcoming statewide assessments.
This is an exciting time for the elementary remodel project scheduled to get underway the first week of June. Pre-qualified contractors will be in the district the remainder of this week gathering information so that they can submit proposals for the construction project.
As you know much is happening with the bond project well underway, our recent winter weather adventures and the cold and flu season upon us.

Thank you for attending parent teacher conferences this past week. We had an excellent turn out at the elementary and over 93% of you chose to participate in this valuable educational experience.

The month of October is fast coming to a close and so is our first quarter of instruction.
On October 13th the state of Oregon released the school and district report cards that indicate how our schools are doing based on the state test results that were administered this past spring.

We are mid way into the third week of testing under the Smarter Balanced State Assessment program.
This Friday our school will recognize the outstanding academic achievement of those students in grades 4,5 and 6 that maintained a 3.5 grade point average or higher during the third quarter of this school year.
The statewide assessments are underway at St Paul Elementary and our students are working hard to complete the required tasks.
I hope each of you were able to spend some quality time with your families while school was in recess for the spring break.

I am very excited to invite our new kindergarten and pre-school parents to an informational meeting on February 23rd at 6:00pm in the elementary multi purpose room.

Welcome to the new year in St. Paul School District. We will start off the year by recognizing our first quarter honor roll students
Winter Break for our school district will be December 19-January 4 with students returning to school on the 5th of January.
In the next week we have many opportunities for you to visit our schools and participate in activities that support our school community.
The District’s new website will bring students, parents and community members news and information in a more concise, consistent fashion. The entire site, including district, school and teacher pages, is now live.

The week of November 17th we will send out report card information regarding your child's grades, attendance and behavior for the first quarter of the school year.
As we come to the close of the first grading period which ends on the 29th please feel welcome to talk with you child's teacher
With the time change, numerous field trips and fall weather we know that our students will be out in the community in low light situations and in adverse weather conditions.
