St. Paul Community Update 3.18.2020

Important Update on St. Paul District Operations

March 18, 2020

Dear St Paul Community,

I hope this update finds you well as we face this challenge together and along with many other communities around the country. Our dedicated staff is beginning their work in developing plans for supplemental learning activities that will begin following spring break which is March 23-27th. There are many aspects of this support that may look very different from a traditional school setting approach and will differ from program to program. We are asking for your patience as we work to develop and deliver support to your child’s learning while at home. I also know that you have many questions regarding what would otherwise have been normal school operations during this period. The impact that this will have on upcoming events that were scheduled related to your child and their education is yet to be realized in its entirety. We do know that the information that we receive changes almost hour by hour as does its impact on our schools. The Oregon State Board of education will be delivering guidance to districts soon regarding statewide testing and many other education requirements we will keep you posted when we learn more. For now let me assure you that we are positioned well to move forward with support and actions that will minimize the impact of this event on your child’s education regardless of grade level.

I also want to inform you that our school lunch program will start up again following spring break and will include a grab and go breakfast lunch combination and or delivery service for students and families. Watch for more information coming soon.

Thank you for all the support we are receiving from the community in the way of donations. We have many families in need that are benefiting from your generosity.

Please keep watching our website for updates.
