Bond Proposal

Bond Projects:

These projects have been identified by the district and St. Paul community as priorities. The district plans to complete these following the passage of Measure 24-494:

  • Modernize Agricultural-Science Education Facility

  • Update Food Service Facility

Modernize Agricultural-Science Education Facility

Our current facility was built in 1963 and due to its age is no longer suitable as an instructional space for our students due to seismic, air quality and the current building does not meet the needs of our growing Agricultural Sciences & Technology Career and Technical Education program (CTE) The agriculture program in St Paul serves the majority of our students in the middle high school, 73% of our students attend classes in this facility.

The district plans to build a new facility to support career education in agricultural science and technology trades. This new building is designed to meet the needs of our current program of instruction. The new building will house our Agricultural Sciences and Technology program. Our Agricultural Sciences & Technology CTE program is designed to provide students with various instruction opportunities including Horticulture, Animal Science, Ag Mechanics, Woodworking, Welding, Natural Resources, and more. In addition to knowledge and skills gained, students in this program are involved in the student leadership organization FFA. These students apply skills they learn in class to real world situations and develop long lasting leadership and communication skills.

Upgrade Food Service Facilities

The current food service facilities is housed in the elementary school and is in need of upgrades and repairs.

Repairs will include new flooring, lighting, and renovation of the walk-in cooler as well as purchase of new equipment for food and meal preparation.

The food service department provides breakfast and lunch for the parochial and public school students. Last year alone, over 20,000 meals were prepared in this facility. Additionally, the facility is used by many community groups when school is not in session.
